the olive wood hilt with carved stylised foliate details, with three silver studs on each side, with a loop at top for hanging cord, with gently curved double-edged steel blade, the scabbard with en-suite wood decoration and incised and pounced silver-gilt mounts with tughra stamp of Sultan Osman III (r.1754-57)

Condition

In overall good condition, some oxidisation to blade and on silver gilt mounts, minor ware on wood consistent with age and use, as viewed.
