bidding is closed

Description

  • wool pile, cotton foundation
  • approximately 553 by 341cm; 18ft. 1in., 11ft. 2in.

Condition

Measurements approximately 341cm wide across the top, 340cm. across the bottom, 551cm long left side, 553cm long right side. Dense overall pile, around 4mm in depth. Very good condition. Fringing a little bit tatty, otherwise carpet is in nearly mint condition. Needs a clean. Specialist Comment: Bidjar is famous for the quality of its carpets. Densely packed knots make for a really strong pile and a carpet that will stand up to heavy use if required. Even good in a dining room, as the weight of the carpet stops it from rucking in use. EMBARGO ON IMPORTATION OF PERSIAN/IRANIAN WORKS OF ART TO THE USA. Due to recent changes in the U.S. law, carpets and rugs of Iranian/Persian origin can no longer be imported into the U.S. Please check with the sale administrator if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to these or any other restrictions or if you need assistance with such enquiries.
