knotting: 8-9 h/cm; 9 v/cm.

Condition

Measurements 151cm wide across the top, 147cm. across the bottom, 235cm long left side, 236cm long right side. Dense pile, even overall, approx. 2mm. Minute fold line, centre top guard stripe. Areas of spot low pile (possibly old moth), in lower border and left hand side border, lower side. Side cords. Some losses and partially redone, small reweave in lower left corner, approximately 1 by 4cm. Upper and lower end with original flatweave ends, with losses to edge of pile, silk fringes with losses, spot orange spotting on fringes at both ends. Specialist Comment: Good quality, silk rug.
