Numerous examples of such spoons, each elaborated constructed from luxurious materials, are in the Topkapi Palace Museum (see Atasoy 1992, p.204). A similar pair of spoons, with a carved coral handle and mounted with a diamond-inlaid foliate terminal, were sold in these rooms 24 April 2012, lot 316.
