An ebony architectural turntable clock, English, part late 17th Century

9¼-inch latched dial with replaced winged cherub spandrels, matted centre and skeleton chapter ring, the two train fusee movement with six latched baluster pillars, the escapement reconverted to verge, outside count wheel striking on a bell, the backplate with visible setup ratchets and now bearing a later signature Henricus Jones, Londini within a banner, the case with architectural moulded pediment, on a later turntable base

Dial has been heavily cleaned, spandrels replaced, hands replaced. Movement has reconvertion to verge escapement, spurious signature to backplate, some replaced wheelwork, fixing brackets replaced. Case is basically late 17th Century but with heavy restoration, back door, seatboard and turntable replaced, loss to right pediment panel moulding, other racks and veneer repairs throughout. With a winder and a case key.
