- Ebonised fruitwood, plaster, brass
- 47cm. 18½in. high
signed respectively New Improved Celestial Globe, published January 1st 1832, and New Improved Terrestrial Globe, published January 1st 1834, Newton Son & Berry, each sphere mounted in a brass meridian within a horizontal ring applied with printed zodiac and calendar scales, on turned ebonised supports
Condition
In generally good un-restored condition, gores rather discoloured, numerous chips to the old varnish, old scuffs and marks throughout, minor cracking to plaster at north pole of terrestrial globe.
