  • 52cm. 20½in. high
3½-inch enamel dial signed Gudin A Paris, bell striking movement with numbered outside count wheel and silk suspension, signed on the backplate as the dial, in a drum case supported by four dolphins on an open platform above a revolving mirrored pond with swans and bullrushes, enclosed within a balustrade with four revolving figures representing the Continents, the base containing a fusee movement playing one of four tunes at every hour on eight bells with eight hammers, the front with an automaton waterfall scene, the sides with oval panels depicting pastoral scenes and raised on foliate feet

Condition

Dial in good condition. Clock movement is complete but very much in need of a clean. Musical/automaton movement appears to be complete but fusee line is broken and drive to automata requires attention, all very dirty and will require complete service and overhaul. Case gilding is in generally good condition and enamel panels in good condition. With a clock winder and replaced pendulum but no winder for the musical movement.
