Movement has been converted from pendulum to lever platform escapement and appears to be complete but is not running, very dirty and needs clean and service, bell hammer broken but we have it. Case in generally good condition retaining the original gilding but rather dirty, enamel hour and five-minute markers in good condition, porcelain plaques in very good condition. With a winder.

A very similar clock with Sevres porcelain panels is illustrated P Kjellberg, Encyclopédie de La Pendule Francaise, Pg.285 D. The duc d'Angoulème porcelain manufactory was established by Christophe Dihl in 1780 under the protection of the duc d'Angoulème. Dihl and his business partner Antoine Guérhard specialised in Sevres-style polychrome colours and, in 1784, became one of the few porcelain manufactories permitted to combine colour and gilding on their products.
