Description

  • Clock 63.5cm. 25in. high; Organ 43cm. 17in. high
5¾-inch enamel dial signed Lenoir A Paris, bell striking movement with outside count wheel and Brocot suspension, the case carved with a naked female seated by a fountain, the griottte marble base inset with ormolu plaques depicting putti engaged in various pursuits,on toupee feet; the earlier associated organ with massive twin fusee motor, the 46.5cm. wooden barrel playing twelve tunes on twenty four pipes, the rectangular breakfront case with baluster gallery above finely cast terms, sun mask and frets, the plinth inset with a plaque depicting putti at play 

Condition

Clock. Dial is dirty and has minor chips to winding holes. Movement is complete but very dirty and not running. Case is rather dirty but in generally good condition, water spout to fountain missing, minor edge chips to the marble. Organ, movement is complete and would just run at cataloguing but is extremely dirty and will require service and overhaul. Case marble is dirty , old repair to balustrade, mounts appear to retain the original gilding and are in good condition, edge chips to marble throughout, one foot detatched but we have it. No pendulum or winders.
