10-inch twenty-five piece cartouche enamel dial digned Fortin A Paris, bell striking movement with numbered outside count wheel, later Brocot escapement, signed on the backplate as the dial, the waisted case veneered with green-stained horn and with rococo scroll surmount above foliate mounts; on a conforming bracket

Dial has minor chips to winding holes and top of central panel but otherwise good. Movement appears to be complete but is very dirty and not running, escapement converted to Brocot, later steel suspension, bell detached and hamer lacking, it will need complete clean and service. Csae in generally good condition, mounts retain the original gilding though rather dirty, old cracks to horn veneer, front mount above dial is loose; bracket as case. With winder and case key but no pendulum.
