A Louis XV ormolu and turtleshell boulle bracket clock attributed to Charles Cressent, Paris, circa 1730

8¼-inch thirteen-piece enamel cartouche dial signed Pierre Leroy A Paris, rectangular plated movement with five knopped pillars, numbered outside count wheel striking on a bell, later anchor escapement and suspension, signed on the backplate as the dial, sunburst pendulum, the case surmounted by a seated putto above a radiating flower fret, the dial flanked by flower swags above a mask and raised on C-scroll and ball feet, the sides veneered with turtleshell and inlaid with panels of engraved brass; the bracket with mask and cockerel mounts

Dial in good condition. Movement has replaced escapement and suspension, position of bell and hammer changed, complete but all very dirty and much in need of a clean. Case retains much of the original gilding, losses to cherub surmount, some losses and repairs to boulle work, otherwise generally good. Bracket in similar condition. With pendulum but no winder.
