Description

  • Copper, brass, steel
  • 52cm. 20 1/2 in. high
2¾-inch dial, the brass and steel two train fusee movement with lipped barrels, later conversion to verge and pendulum, count wheel striking on a bell, the case surmounted by a soldier above tiered galleries set with turned finials, the lower tier enclosing the bell, the rectangular body with glazed side panels and decorated with strapwork and flowers, the similarly decorated moulded base on later winged paw and ball feet

Condition

PROSPECTIVE BUYERS SHOULD INSPECT PERSONALLY. Dial altered and now with minute hand. Movement possibly associated to this case, formerly with verge and balance escapement, it is very dirty and not running but appears to be complete and, once cleaned overhauled, should be capable of running. Case in generally good condtion, alterations to tiered galleries, later feet. No winder.
