  • 138cm high, 147cm wide, 219cm long; 4ft. 6¼in., 4ft. 10in., 7ft. 2¼in.
in the Louis XV manner, with a quarter-veneered bombé arched headboard and footboard, on splayed feet, with gilt-bronze rocaille and foliate mounts throughout; mounts regilt

Provenance

Purchased by the present owner Sotheby's, London, 19th and 20th century furniture and Decorations, 16th April 1999, lot 276.   

Condition

In overall very good conserved condition. Couple of miniscule sections of veneer missing from rear top of headboard which can easily be restored. This is only a bed frame-a base and mattress will have to be made. for it before use. There is a plywood base which is modern that comes with it.
