Catalogue Note
J L’Hoste was a sculptor and cabinet maker who founded his first workshop at rue Amelot in 1842. He and his brothers exhibited in the Expostions Universelles of 1867 and 1889. Charles Bernel succeeded him at the end of the 19th century and ‘executa de nombreux et beaux meubles.’
