  • A Viennese enamel horn of plenty with silver and enamel mounts, late 19th century
  • silver, enamel in leather case
  • 38.8cm., 15 1/4 in high
supported on the back of a cupid with bow in hand, the horn and hexagonal base painted with mythological subjects within pale blue borders with black tracery, apparently unmarked, in original two-part leather case

Condition

Case with wear and some patches of leather lacking. Horn in very good condition with a few minor patches of restoration to enamel. Horn has been re-attached to horn with silver screw to chest causing blurring to scalloped edge and wing backs.
