  • 63.5cm., 25 in. high
of similar construction to the previous lot, veneered in lapis lazuli,  the upper bell tower surmounted by a Roman warrior above an openwork arcade set with historical figures, the lower tiers applied with enamelled rosettes, glazed biblical and marine subjects within peral-set ornaments, each angle with enamelled pilasters or spiral columns topped with allegorical figures, the whole with elaborate polychrome openwork mask and scroll borders, on bust and paw supports, maker's mark, Vienna post-1872 town marks

Condition

Hallmarked throughout. Finial figure totally restored and re-attached. Replacement movement, slightly loose. Joins, cracks and small portions of lapis lacking. some minor losses to enamel overall. Very impressive piece.
