Description

  • stoneware
  • 12½in diameter
heavily potted with rounded sides supported on a short foot, the exterior freely carved with a floral band between keyfret and lappet bands, the interior with a central floral medallion encircled by a cash coin diaper band at the well, the rim encircled with a keyfret border, covered overall in a sea-green glaze

Condition

The exterior rim has a 6.5 x 2cm area of glaze abrasion. The interior has a russet crackle running along approx. half of the central medallion. The foot has a 2 x 0.4cm chip. Crackled glaze and minor glaze firing imperfections. Surface wear and scratches.
