with an arched back and scroll arms, covered with associated mid 18th century, gros-point and petit-point needlework, the seat with a loose cushion, on carved square legs with stretchers

Condition

The frames are scuffed and scratched consistent with age and use possibly containig some 18th century elements. Extemely decorative. Needlework in different styles. Areas of repair and later working generally, and especially to the seat. There is only petit-point in a cartouche on the seat back. Some losses and holes in the foundation canvas. Losses and hole to left arm. Apricot wool applied to back and sides. Water damage marks to left corner on back of the seat.
