Description

  • pine beech oak walnut
  • 215cm. high, 1m. wide, 56.5cm. deep; 7ft. ¾in., 3ft. 3½in., 1ft. 10¼in.
the top with a moulded cornice above a pair of doors with inset bevelled mirrors enclosing five small drawers, pigeonholes and folio divisions above candleslide, the bureau with a fitted interior  of nine small drawers, pigeonholes above a slide, with two short and two long drawers below, on bracket feet

Mrs Rosalys Ransom ( 1908-2001) High Dyke, Wellingore, Lincolnshire. Founder member of the Burghley Horse Trails and Master of the Blankney Hounds.

Condition

This piece is in good restored condition and is ready to place. It has been repolished- some patching of veneers particularly around crossbanding. Old marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Brasses later.
