Description

  • mahogany steel wire pine beech
  • 200cm. high, 158cm. wide, 66cm. deep; 7ft. 7in., 5ft. 2in., 2ft. 2in.
the cage with central dome flanked by Ionic columns supporting arches, above sliding feeding trays; on a stand with turned legs joined by iron stretcher, all on brass castors. Together with three European porcelain birds.

Condition

A fun and decorative piece. This cage has marks and scratches consistent with age and use. Dome possibly topped by missing finial. There are repairs to veneers and a loss to a veneer on the right side arch. The arches have age cracks and minor losses throughout. There are repairs to sliding trays, original castors.
