- 26.4cm., 10 3/8 in wide.,
modelled by J.J. Kändler, of large size and oval form, the exteriors moulded with basketwork, the handles with mask terminals representing the four seasons, the pair painted with scattered sprays of indianische Blumen with flower borders at the rims encasing two cartouches of butterflies, upon ormolu scroll mounts, the singular basket painted with a single branch of flowers, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, incised numerals.
Condition
The unmounted example has a restored rim chip.
One of the mounted example has a hairline crack which extends around one of the terminals of a handle.
