Description
- gilt-bronze and porcelain
- each 88cm. high; 2ft. 10½in.
each vase of baluster form with a waved collar and base mount issuing candlebranches in the form of lilies, supported on the back of a dargon, the shaped domed base cast with rocaille and c-scrolls
Condition
In overall good condition. The Chinese porcelain is 18th century and not 19th century. They are in two sections but only one detachjes at present. One candelabrum has a nozzle and drip-pan missing which can easily be recast but it is not too noticeable as the lilies are quite dense and it is inside the lily. The gilding on the candlearms is of a different colour to the rest and they may be associated. One leaf is missing on the top of one and some stamens in the centre of one flower on the same one is missing and some stamens are bent. One the other candelabrum one lily is missing all its stamens. Three bobèches missing on one.
