Description

  • PORCELAIN
  • 12.5cm., 5in. high
probably by George Owen, of double-walled globular form, the body entirely pierced in a honeycomb pattern with a central unique band, decorated by Samuel Ranford, framed by zig-zag borders of red, turquoise and white raised enamel jewels reserved on a pink ground, the spout also pierced with a band of pearls at the terminal, puce printed mark and embossed factory mark, gilder's mark RS for Samuel Ranford in puce inside footrim.

Condition

In good condition, there are four minute flakes to the gilding on the rim of the teapot.
