- PORCELAIN
- the teapot: 8cm., 3 1/8 in. high
each piece painted in underglaze-blue with the 'Island' pattern of two pagodas framing a tree, the teawares comprising: two oval meat plates, two plates, a teabowl and saucer, a coffee cup and a circular teapot stand, two pieces with blue S mark, flat chip to cover of teapot.

Condition
There is a flat chip to the underside of the cover of the teapot, otherwise all pieces are in good condition.

The 'Island pattern' is one of the longest running on 18th century miniature porcelains. Introduced in 1770s it was used exclusively on Caughley miniatures and does not appear on full sized wares
