Description

  • the teapot: 12.3cm., 4 7/8 in. high; the stand: 16.4cm., 6 1/2 in. diam.
the teapot of shouldered form with a quadrangular spout and branch handle, painted with scattered shadowed insects, the flattened cover surmounted with a flower finial, the stand painted with seven winged insects, brown edged rims, red anchor marks, teapot repaired.

Condition

The Teapot: There is a restored flat chip to the cover. There are body cracks to the teapot which have at some point been secured with three rivets, these rivets have since been removed and the holes filled. The cover: The finial has been re-stuck at the base. There is some body crazing. The stand: There is some wear to the enamels of the painted insects.
