Catalogue Note

J. Th. Heinze was a silversmith and jeweller in Dresden about whom little is known. A contemporary newspaper advertisement declared that he was jeweller to 'The Duchess of  Sachsen-Meiningen and Princess of Prussia', probably Charlotte of Prussia (1860-1919), that he had received a gold medal in Dresden in 1906 and a silver in Brussels in 1910 (Stadtarchiv, Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats -und Universitatsbibliothek, Dresden).
