Bon état général.
Quelques usures sur le pourtour du col. Les parties dorées présentent une usure plus importante, visible sur l'illustration du catalogue. Quelques taches d'oxydation sur les parties en argent. Quelques rayures mineures d'usage sur l'ensemble de la surface, deux plus notables: une sur la partie argentée décorée de pois près de la base et une sur la partie dorée (environ 5 cm de long) près de la base également. Quelques piqûres et rayures sur le dessous, comme l'on pourrait s'y attendre pour un objet de cet âge.
Good overall condition.
Some minor wear around the rim. The gilded areas present some more important wear, all visible on the catalogue's illustration. Some oxidation stains to the silvered parts. A few minor scratches of use over the entire surface, two more notable : one on the silvered area decorated with dots close to the base and one on the gilt area, approximately 5 cm long, also near the base. The underside with pittings and scratches as one would expect for a piece of this age.

Gérard Sandoz est avant tout joaillier et orfèvre, membre fondateur de l’Union des Artistes Modernes, aux côtés de Jean Fouquet et Raymond Templier. Il réalisera également quelques rares vases en dinanderie, une quinzaine tout au plus exécutés entre 1923 et 1924.
Comme son oncle Paul Follot, il donne ses vases à monter chez Claudius Linossier, puis se charge des décors aux formes simples, géométriques, ou qui adoptent une esthétique industrielle inspirée de la machine.

Gérard Sandoz is most widely recognized as a jeweller and silversmith, having been a member of the Union des Artistes Modernes in the company of both Jean Fouquet and Raymond Templier. His work with dinanderie is rare, with perhaps only fifteen in total having been produced between 1923 and 1924. Like his uncle, he worked with Claudius Linossier on the basic form, which Sandoz then embellished with the figural or geometrical motifs that found their inspiration in the industrial aesthetic of machinery.
