Condition
Please note this work is oil on board. The surface of the work is in overall excellent condition. There is a thick application of paint in the body of the lion. A minute pin-point size discoloration to the top center edge of the work. Apparent pencil marks in the lower left and lower right corners. When examined under UV, the surface with heavy masking varnish. This work is being sold in an ornately decorated period frame. The gilt wood frame with minor surface scratches, gentle rubbing, a few occasional minor discolorations and some surface dirt to the recessed portions. In person, this painting presents strongly with great presence and detail.
