Condition

These are working drawings and have handling creases, spots, folds and light discoloration commensurate with use in the atelier of Emile Gallé. The three larger drawings have small areas of discoloration to the paper, two of which are visible to the catalogue illustration, to the drawings illustrated in the group top left and top right, the other the study of the large dragonfly has some discolouration to the top left hidden by the overlapping drawing. These larger examples are the three that are stuck to supports, the figure of the two butterflies (ill. bottom right) has glue deposit to the reverse. Nevertheless a lovely group of typically Gallé motives delicately drawn.
