le bras orné de trois frises de lettres gothiques, la première semblant gravée OPUS FIERI, la seconde probablement FECIT DNS FRAS, la dernière probablement AR DE PAGANICA, le bras présentant deux ouvertures en quartefeuilles, la base ouvrant sur un compartiment

Condition

Gilding partly worn, especially on arm. Four fingers resoldered (old repairs), cracks to the base of thumb. Wrist wobbling. The detachable base slightly bumped. Under the base, the opening shutter with restoration around, not visible from the outside. Very interesting and early piece.

Catalogue Note

La phrase gravée signifie L'oeuvre a été faite par l'ordre de Franciscus, Archiprêtre de Paganica. Il existe en Italie une église collégiale appelée Santa Maria de Paganica. Au milieu du XVe siècle, son archiiprêtre Francesco Nanni a entrepris la reconstruction de l'église et de la sacristie.
