Condition
Very good condition overall with a few minor chips to the edges of the roundels, some minor surface dirt, consistent with age and handling. Both roundels bear a metallic hook attached with plaster on the back to hang them on the wall .
The profile looking to the right (with masonic symbols), bears a collection label on the back.
The profile looking to the left (wearing a hat), the patina appears to have been slightly retouched at several places. Very fine pieces

Une paire de médaillons identiques appartenait jadis à la collection du Comte de Penha Longa: un portrait d'homme regardant à droite, accompagné d'un triangle maçonnique ainsi que d'un heaume; l'autre, daté du 25 Germidor montre un général Révolutionnaire, les cheveux attachés en catogan, et coiffé d'un large chapeau.
