Condition
Very good condition overall with some minor surface dirt. His proper left hand restored with tip of index missing. A few minor dips to the lower edge of the base.

Un groupe similaire conservé au musée historique lorrain de Nacy fut présenté dans l’exposition Céramique Lorraine, Chefs d’œuvre des XVIIIème et XIXème siècle, Atlanta 1990, n° 135, p. 185. Le catalogue de l’exposition précise que l’Impératrice Catherine II de Russie possédait un groupe similaire dans ses collections.
