Catalogue Note

Edward Edwards était le fils de l'orfèvre John Edwards III, lui-même issu d'une dynastie d'orfèvres. Il insculpa son poinçon en 1811, et rejoignit son père. Il s'installa ensuite à son compte et semble avoir travaillé jusqu'à la fin des années 1830. Les boîtes en or et argent représentent la majorité de sa production, notamment celles avec un chiffre comme la présente boîte.
