Acquired in Tibet in the 1970s.
Condition
The thangka is in its original textile mount.
There are several vertical creases with associated loss to the pigments particularly in the centre and the lower part of the painting. There is light overall loss to the pigments. The colours are slightly darker and saturated than the catalogue illustration suggests.
Please note that the image on catalogue page 178 has the wrong lot number and should read 322 instead of 323.
