Condition

The embroidered part of the silk comprises the front and sides of the cushion The side part is made up of seveal pieces of silk that are sewn together. The back is lined with a piece of yellow silk woven with a cloud pattern. There are some losses to the gold-wrapped threads around the border and outlining the individual design elements and some losses to the embroidered scrolls along the sides. Otherwise the silk is in good condition, the colours strong. The silk backing has come undone along the lower front part of the cushion along the seam. The cushion is filled with a foam, rather than original stuffing.
