Description

  • Jade, wood
de section octogonale, reposant sur un pied légèrement évasé, flanquée de trois anses ajourées en forme de chilong de tailles différentes, leurs pattes avant et leurs gueules reposant contre le bord et leurs longues queues courant autour de la coupe, la pierre d'un blanc laiteux avec quelques tâches rouille, socle en bois (2)

Collection of Claude Burrard Reboul (1825-1886).
By descent to Colonel Jacques-Frederic Reboul (1863-1937). 
Thence in the family by descent.

Condition

The bowl is in overall very good condition. There are very minor fritts to some of the edges of the carving. The stone is a beautiful milky-white tone polished to a soft glow and with an area of russet running through one of the dragons. The wood stand is probably associated and damaged.
