signé JIE SHAN YIN GUAN ZHU ZHE, avec une inscription et un cachet de l'artiste

Provenance

With Robert Rousset, Paris.
Acquired from Robert Rousset, Compagnie de la Chine et des Indes, Paris, 16th June 1966.

Exhibited

Chi Pai-Shih 1863 - 1957, Compagnie de la Chine et des Indes, Paris, 10th May - 10 June 1980.

Condition

The painting is in good overall condition with the exception of a ca. 3x3cm wide triangular piece on the lower right hand edge of the painting where the paper was torn and reattached to the mount. There is general light creasing and very light staining. The paper is of a more creamy white tone and the colours are more saturated than the catalogue illustration suggests.
