Condition

The elephant is in overall very good condition. There are very minor fritts to the edges of the ears and tip of the tusks. The stone is suffused with darker and lighter calcified areas, and polished to a soft glow. The colour of the stone is of a more saturated warm brown tone than the catalogue illustration suggests.
