Condition
The figure was made from one single piece of wood. It shows a ca. 24cm long crack to the wood at the front of the figure exenting from the rim upwards to the neck. Both hands are missing, there are breaks to the thin braids of hair falling behind her ears onto the shoulders. There is wear to the back of the figure's chignon and overall wear to the pigments.
The results of the C14 test (C 241907A-4) have dated the wood from which the figure was carved to between 1015 and 1152 AD.
