This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. This work has been relined by the artist. There are minor traces of wear by the upper corners and towards the left and the right of the lower edge, visible in the catalogue illustration. Under UV light are visible few minor retouching by Piero Dorazio himself, one tiny along the upper right margin, two towards the centre of the painting (one of them with a slightly shinier halo around) and the last two towards the lower margin.

Catalogue Note
Strisce verticali, orizzontali, diagonali, vengono condotte a mano libera intrecciando rapporti di colore diverso secondo un'idea chiave. Direi che è rovesciata la formula dei pontillistes: essi componevano col punto ottenendo un disegno finale, Dorazio disegna fin dall'inizio una struttura con il colore ma lascia all'esecuzione un largo margine di libertà.
Vertical, horizontal and diagonal strips are conducted with a free hand, interweaving different colour relationships according to a key idea. The pointillistes' formula appears to be reversed. They composed with dots and obtained a final drawing, whereas Dorazio draws a framework with colour but leaves right from the start a wide margin of freedom to the execution.
