Condition

This work appears to be in generally good overall condition. There is a tiny paint loss by the left upper edge and a couple pin-pointed losses along the lower left edge. There is a very light trace of dirt along the upper left margin. There is a light impression on the upper right part of the stretcher. There are stable and spidery craquelures scattered on the surface. No traces of retouching appear to be visible under UV light.

Catalogue Note

"Scheggi is looking for an inner strength to animate his overlapping of planes of the same colours and he manages it (...). A plastic condition of certain trascendence comes to life among Scheggi's surfaces, already free from outside reference to obtain that spiritual rigour he aspiring towards".
