Condition
Ceramic composed of 6 pieces. Some minor abrasion, scratches and scuffs to the surface with associated retouching, notably on the black pigment, and a light build-up of dust in the recesses. There is a crack to the bottom left edge of the lower left piece (probably inherent to the artistic process) and some small losses to the centre of the sculpture, otherwise this work is in good overall condition.

Catalogue Note
After Fernand Léger's death, as the plans for Hannover stadium had never been completed, his widow Nadia Léger took over the project. Roland and Claude Brice were thus able to use the present sculptures to realise Léger's monumental vision and decorate the facade of the Musée National Fernand Léger in Biot.
