Catalogue Note

A fine collection of images, mostly by Bourne, of Simla (13), Calcutta (13), Lucknow (10), Agra (10), Hyderabad (9), Delhi (7), and elsewhere; several by Burke of Attock and Chenah. The album also contains photographs of the Viceroy Lord Ripon, with his staff at Simla in 1882, his camp at Rupar in November 1882, the ceremonial opening of the Sirhind canal, the Viceroy's party at Lucknow in 1882; staff and visitors at Government House Calcutta (1882-83); the arrival of HRH the duke of Connaught at Government House, Calcutta in December 1883, and the royal party with the Viceroy at Barrackpore, and at Hyderabad, and leaving on the state train. Other images include three of Suez (by H. Arnoux and others) and three of Ceylon by Skeen & Co.
