Catalogue Note
This illustration depicts the story of the bull-demon Arishtasura's attempt to attack Krishna in the forest. Krishna seized the beast by his horns and brought him to the ground, much to the delight of the inhabitants of Vrindavan. Stylistically this painting relates to the work of Sahibdin but dates to later in the seventeenth century.
