Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality of the work is lighter, brighter and more vivid in the original, especially the red and two blue areas on the right half of the work. The image does not convey the texture of the work.
The work is executed on its original canvas and is not relined. One pinhead sized paint loss - located 11.5 cm from the upper edge and 41.5 cm from the left edge - is visible under very close inspection.
Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Two pinhead sized paint losses are visible only under UV light on the top right corner 4 cm from the upper edge.
This work is in excellent condition.
