  • A Cypriot Limestone Head of God, Priest, or Votary

  • Height 13 1/4 in. 30.7 cm.
from a slightly over life-size figure, with full beard of voluted curls, long grooved moustache, and fragmentary aquiline nose,  his ribbed hair radiating from the crown, corkscrew curls in front, and surmounted by a wreath of laurel leaves, a shallow grooved line crossing the forehead; faint traces of red pigment.
