  • An Egyptian Bronze Protome
  • bronze
  • 2 by 2 1/2 by 2 3/4 in. 5 by 6.4 by 7 cm.
in the form of a head of a lion emerging from a fragmentary rectangular socket, with carefully engraved whiskers and ears, and smooth ruff, a tenon for attachment remaining on the socket.

Condition

Generally very good. Some edges bent and chipped. A layer of green corrosion inside. Minor nicks and abrasions overall.
