Very Rare Massive Chippendale Carved and Figured Mahogany Pie Crust Tilt-Top Tea Table, Carving possibly by Martin Jugiez (d. 1815), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1760

- Height 30 1/2 in. by Diameter 38 in.
Retains a dark rich historic surface.
Condition
Two age cracks to pie crust edge; worn edges overall. 2 1/2 inches of molded edge lacking. A 1 1/2 inch chip to molded edge now worn smooth. A few of the pointed tips with small chips now worn smooth. Top with usual marks and scratches; one age crack extending from edge to center. Restored age cracks to columnar shaft. Two legs each with reglued cracks. Lacking lock ring and key. Block at top of shaft later addition. Top of shaft has been reshaped to receive added support block.
