circular base raised on three paw feet centered by pendant foliate swags, base with nine rams heads mounted on shields along rim, nine applied flowerheads encircling the raised stem and a presentation inscription, the stepped shallow bowl with gilt lobed interior chased with flowers and medallions, three acanthus-capped scroll handles

Catalogue Note
The inscription reads "A TESTIMONIAL from the BROADWAY BANK to WALTER BOWNE PALMER in appreciation of his effecient services for the past thirteen years in that institution. And in token of the personal esteem of its board of directors. New-York. May 2nd 1863." The Broadway Bank of Brooklyn was a New York bank absorbed into Manufacturers Trust Company in the early 20th century.
