The canvas is lined with an old wax lining. Scattered fine craquelure throughout, with corresponding areas of paint loss, especially in upper left. An area of loss at top right. Spots of old inpainting evident to the unaided eye, especially at upper left and center. Under ultraviolet light: scattered area of old inpainting at upper left and center.
